What footwear should I wear?

Please wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking and weather appropriate clothing. 

Are dogs welcome?

Yes, dogs are welcome free of charge insdie and out but must remain on a lead for their safety and that of our wildlife.

Is there a time limit on my time at the falls?

There is no time limit you're welcome to saty all day until we close the gates which is 4pm off peak and 5 pm during peak hours. 

How long does it take to walk around the Estate?

We suggest 2-3 hours will take you around the main walks but with playgrounds and picnic areas to explore you can make a day of it.

How much is it to enter?

At what age do you charge for a child entry?

We charge from 4-15. Children under four are free 

Are the walks suitable for a pushchair?

In dry weather, it is possible to walk around the Lily Lake and up to the playgrounds with an all-terrain pram or pushchair but it is not possible to take a pram on the waterfall walk so we suggest you bring baby carriers or a backpack.Baby carriers are available to hire from the shop.  Read our accessibility statment here 

Do you have to pay to visit the Cafe and Farm Shop?

There is no admission charge to visit the Cafe and Farm Shop,

Do you have coeliac/gluten-free and vegan food options?

Yes, Gluten-Free and Vegan options are available but we are not a gluten free kitchen. Pease let the satff knwow when yu arrive if you have any seriosu allergies. 

Do you have toilets? 

Yes, we have public toilets onsite.

Can I bring a picnic?

You are very welcome to bring a picnic and our café and snack bar is always open for any additional food or drink you may need during your visit.

Do you have picnic tables?

Yes, there are plenty of outdoor seating options available and benches around our 90 acre esate.

Is there any indoor seating if it is raining?

Yes we have a pretty indoor cafe with tables and sofa seating.

Are you wheelchair friendly?

Due to the nature of the terrain, most of the walks are not wheelchair friendly although our friendly staff will be happy to help direct you to areas you can access safely.  Due to these limits on accessibility we offer free entry to wheelchair users to access the cafe, courtyard and shop area.

Is car parking free?

Yes

I am scared of heights will I be ok at the top of the waterfall?  

The walk up to the falls although steep meanders up through woodland so the only place you feel high up is at the top of lady Exmouth falls, the viewing platform is surrounded by railings so it is quite safe and you are able to stand right back from the edge if you feel uncomfortable. The view is breathtaking. 

Are their rest places on route to the top?

Yes there are benches at regular intervals on the path to the top so you can rest catch your breath and take in the surroundings.

Is the walk suitable for Children?

Yes children love the walk, with fairies and willow dinosaurs in the ferns there is plenty for children to explore and discover. Two adventure play parks and trampolines will keep children entertained for hours!
